The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, was promulgated on 4th April, 2021, introducing prepackaged insolvency resolution process, for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It aims to provide an efficient alternative insolvency resolution process for MSME sector, ensuring quicker, cost effective and value maximizing outcome for all the stakeholders, in a manner which is least disruptive to the continuity of their businesses and which helps preserve jobs. IBBI is organizing a series of Webinars, in order to create awareness about the various provisions of this Ordinance amongst the Insolvency Professionals and address their queries. The third of such Webinars was conducted on a virtual platform, on 20th May, 2021. The webinar comprised two sessions covering “Introduction: Pre-Pack Insolvency Resolution Process for MSMEs” and “Highlights of the Ordinance”. It was followed by a comprehensive Q & A session handled by Dr. (Ms). Mukulita Vijayavargia, WTM, IBBI and Mr. Ritesh Kavdia, Executive Director, IBBI. The resource persons included Dr. (Ms.) Kokila Jayaram, DGM, Mr. C. Ramachandra Rao, DGM and Mr. Nitish Saini, AGM.
