The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, in association with the British High Commission jointly organized a webinar on “Sale under Liquidation Process and UK best practices for better realization for stakeholders” for the benefit of stakeholders. Welcoming the participants, Dr. Mukulita Vijayawargiya, Whole Time Member, IBBI, highlighted the importance of liquidation process under the IBC and the need for adopting global best practices for better realisation for stakeholders. Other eminent panellists included Mr. Sumant Batra (Managing Partner at Kesar Dass B. & Associates); Mr. Vinod Kothari (Insolvency Professional); Mr.Patrick Brazzill (Insolvency Practitioner, Partner, EY Parthenon, UK); and Ms.Saskia Lawrence (Insolvency Practitioner, Partner, EY Parthenon, UK). Through this webinar, the Panellists explained the effective sale process and practical challenges which are usually faced by the Liquidators. Sale process in the United Kingdom, best practices and learnings which can be applied to in the Indian context were also discussed
