Mr. Dinabandhu Mohapatra is the former Managing Director & CEO of Bank of India.

Mr. Mohapatra has wide experience in the banking and insurance sector. During his career spanning over three and half decades, he has headed various Branches, Departments and Zones across the country. He has also served as CEO, controlling operations in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar & Kampuchea Branches.

He has served on the Boards of various financial institutions such as Canara Bank, Canbank Factors Ltd., Canbank Computer Services Ltd., Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Export Import Bank of India, National Institute of Bank Management, Indian Banks’ Association, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd., Indiabulls Commercial Credit Ltd., Regaal Resources Ltd., among others.

Mr. Mohapatra holds a Master’s degree in Economics along with L.L.B., CAIIB and Dip in Computer Applications.

He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and recognitions. He has been awarded the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar by the Hon’ble President of India. He was also awarded the Golden Peacock Award 2016, under CSR activities; 2nd Most Trusted Bank Award among the PSU Bank category by Economic Times; and ET-BFSI Excellence Award 2019 for the Most Innovative Bank under the large bank category.

He was appointed as Part-Time Member on the Governing Board of IBBI on 19th February 2024.
