Mr. B. Sriram, Part Time Member, IBBI (04.07.2019 to 20.09.2023)
Mr. B. Sriram was appointed as Part-Time Member on the Governing Board of IBBI on 4th July, 2019. He served on the Governing Board till 20th September 2023.
Mr. B. Sriram was Managing Director & CEO of IDBI Bank Ltd. from June 30 to September 30, 2018. Prior to IDBI Bank assignment, Sh. Sriram was the Managing Director of State Bank of India.
Mr. Sriram, a Professional Banker having more than 37 years’ experience, joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1981 and has held various important assignments in the Bank.
Mr. Sriram has assumed charge of Managing Director (Corporate Banking Group), State Bank of India on November 2nd, 2015. Prior to this, he was Managing Director (National Banking Group) since July 17, 2014. He was also Managing Director of earstwhile subsidiary Bank, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur. He also served as Chief General Manager of Delhi Circle, one of the largest Circle of the Bank and Chief General Manager (Global Markets). As CGM (Global Market), he was looking after the Bank’s investment portfolio, money market and Forex operations.
Mr. Sriram has held the key positions of General Manager (Global Markets), Corporate Centre, Mumbai from March 2008 to December 2010, Dy.General Manager, Zonal Office, Mumbai from October 2005 to March 2008 and Dy. General Manager, Zonal Office, Dehradun from December 2003 to October 2005. He was also posted in the Bank’s foreign office at Singapore and was on deputation to SBI Capital Markets Ltd. during his earlier tenure.He is a Post Graduate in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi and has a AIMA Diploma in Management.
